If she has ADD and is sniffing ritalin, it'll have no negative effects. In fact, it enters the blood stream faster which means faster results. I used to do this with the 10mg quick release before a test.
To me it sounds like she has been misdiagnosed and now she's using the ritalin like speed. That will have negative effects. She might as well do a line or two of cocaine.
People with ADD don't come off of the ritalin. It's like suggesting a diabetic stop taking insulin. It doesn't work that way. In a person who's been diagnosed with ADD, their brain does not make the chemical. Ritalin is a magic pill that introduces the chemical to the body. And it's very hard for a person with ADD to overdose on their medication (roughly 15 pills need to be taken at one time)
And weight loss isn't from the ritalin. It increases a person's appetite.
