You mean, is it safe to take both at the same time? Technically, concurrent use of two or more drugs that can cause QT interval prolongation may increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmias. You should always inform your doctor beforehand of the medications you are currently taking.

Azithromycin can be used to treat your strep throat so in my opinion, you're better off with just azithromycin. However, if you can contact your 2nd doctor & inform him that you have been taking azithromycin for another condition, he/she should tell you if you still need the clarithromycin & defer taking the azithromycin first.
