Metformin worked for us (two pregnancies within a year after 3 years of TTC). It is great for women with PCOS and the first recommended med for managing insulin resistance for women with PCOS. It can and usually does help regulate your period and ovulating more frequently but this can take a few months. You can reduce dosage if too much nausea/GI side effects.
