Taking medications, especially something like Zoloft, is risky both ways. Suddenly stopping it without treating the depression may cause serious effects such as preeclampsia, preterm delivery and other harmful effects on both the baby and the mother. On the other hand, continuing it during the third trimester, especially at a high dosage, can also cause several side effects on the baby. So consult with your doctor if the risks of taking it outweighs the risks of not taking it. Hope this helps.
