Methylenphenidate, it's generic form, would react as any other strong stimulant would, in that you do not have ADD or ADHD.

5. From a subjective ethical perspective, I'm not totally convinced that taking Adderall is "cheating."

If you are taking Adderall just for fun, then yes, it is bad...
If you are taking Adderall as a productivity-enhancer, then no, it is not bad...

I guess that would depend on your definition of bad.
I've mentioned in other posts that when patients are accurately diagnosed with an attention disorder (or chronic narcolepsy) and treated with stimulants by a doctor, the potential for escalating dosages, tolerance and eventual drug abuse is relatively low.
However, using a powerful amphetamine like Adderall just to "enhance productivity" could be a whole different ball game. The pharmacological analogies comparing prescription medications like Ritalin and Adderall with cocaine and crystal meth are well-researched and established.
Anyone self-medicating with prescription stimulants simply to enhance productivity without a doctor's supervision should definitely keep these potential downsides in mind.
That could turn out really bad.

I second that. We had a guy come in once who had overdosed on Adderall. I forgot his actual blood levels, but we had to tie him to the gurney! He kept thrashing around and repeating the same non-sensical phrase over and over. We couldn't get any information out of him, so we had to take his cell phone and start calling random people until someone agreed to come down to the hospital.

[lang=fr]
anciens [/ MENTION] ...

I've been on Adderall for ADHD in the past & it only makes you feel speedy initially.After you have been on it for awhile(a few days) the speediness goes away.It actually calms me down & I can focus on tasks.After awhile being on it, it didn't seem to be working for me anymore so my psychiatrist put me on Dexedrine, which I've been on for 5yrs.

10. Adderall is commonly used by those without ADD in graduate school. I'd venture to guess 20% use it consistently, and the number doubles during exams. Now, if you walk by a law school.... 90%

I've personnally been put on Vyvanse. It's basically Dexedrine with a added molecule that is only digested in the stomach slowly. (Trypsin?) That way it's alot more smooth. To be honest my friends who don't have ADD tryed them and it does enhance your performance, ADD or not..

Ever taken speed? Well it's pretty close to it, without the body buzz.
