Cymbalta for pain...
i have Fibromyalgia, and after 2 years of trying many different meds (anti- depressants, opiates, muscle relaxers, etc.), i was finally put on Cymbalta. it has been a miracle drug for me.

although some of the other meds provided me with short term relief, Cymbalta has given more long term relief.

i still have some bad days where i still hurt badly, and on most evenings i feel pretty badly.

i take my Cymbalta in the evenings (around 9 or 10pm), because it makes me a little sleepy.

i'm thinking the reason why i feel so bad in the evenings, is because my previous dose is wearing off.

they say the therapeutic dose for Cymbalta in Fibromyalgia is 60mg/day.

i guess i'm just looking for others experience with this med for pain, and to see what others have done, or what can be done to help with the residual pain that's left after taking your prescribed dose?

any input is appreciated, thanks.

Yes, the recommended dose for Cymbalta for fibromyalgia is 60mg per day. Treatment should begin at 30 mg once daily for 1 week, to allow patients to adjust to the medication before increasing to 60 mg once daily.
