taking nortriptyline while on methadone and citalopram?

i am currently on 45mgs of methadone (biodone forte) per day, and 20mg of citalopram per day, and have now been prescribed nortriptyline to help me sleep and to give up smoking.

There have been studies that have shown a moderate interaction coming from a combination of these medications, especially citalopram and nortriptyline, producing adverse effects on the patient. Since this is prescribed to you by your doctor, the dosage given may not be that much to have serious side effects. But if ever you feel something different, it is best to consult your doctor at once.
