Xanax does not work for me, should I try oxycontin
I am trying to see what meds I need to take to reach the level of lessened anxiety I need in order to get some shots and needle work done. I have tried 2.5 mg of xanax and it has no effect on me. I was wondering if Oxycontin would work. It would only be a one time thing. I am not a recreational drug user. What does an oxycontin high feel like, and should I crush it to I can get the initial rush and then get my bloodwork?
I understand that Oxycontin is for pain, but since it is an opiate derivitve it will create a eurphoria. I just need it to get by when I get my needlework done.
I got a hookup from a pharmacist.
Lisa, if you are so annoyed by my posting then feel free to not click on them. Obviously you must be interested in some fashion to keep reading them. I am not posting them to you directly, so you don't have to post an answer. I am free to ask as many questions as I choose. Please don't tell me to "cowboy up and get the needle done already" This is my problem, and I will deal with it in my own way. In the future, you don't have to read any of my postings and PLEASE don't respond to any of them anymore as well. Thank you.
The very first time I tried to get my bloodwork done was about two weeks ago, and the Dr. prescribed me one .25 mg of xanax. It did absolutely nothing, and the Dr. is unwilling to prescribe more that is why I have to find my own way. I am not a recreational drug user. I really wouldn't be afraid to admit it if I was.

oxycontin is a pain med...xanax is for anxiety...complete differ ant.. do not take anything that a Dr does not prescribe you. You should See a doctor and do not crush it it could kill you if you do that because it is time released

It is very doubtful that a doctor will prescribe oxy unless he/she feels there is a real need to do so. The DEA has cracked down on the medical establishment handing out too many oxy scripts and doctors are much more cautious now, so don't get your hopes up about getting a script

your language is that of a drug user. If you need something to lessen your anxiety ask your doctor and get it thru the proper channels, not a pharmaceutical hookup, which I believe would be considered illegal. Sorry to be so harsh, just my opinion.
