Does 30 pills of 5/500mg vicodin contain enough hydrocodone to knock you out?

My friend and I had a very scary conversation today. He said he had a prescription of vicodin and had really been struggling with suicidal thoughts. He said he called my because I have a degree in Bio but I don't know anything about medicine. I have never taked anything stroger than over-the -counter stuff. He said he was worried about the tylonal and wnated to know if the hydrocodone would be strong enough to knock him out so he wouldn't feel the effects of the tylonal. We have been friends for about two years and we have similar backgrounds with depression and cutting. I'm worried. He won't talk to anyone but me. He wnts it to be painless. He won't tell me where he is. Help!! I am worried.
