I'm off hydrocodone?
I'm off hydrocodone and now my abdomen hurts. My left and right sides. Could this be the reason why?? I can't very well sleep either

yes you are withdrawing, it lasts about a week, depending on your body, and you'll probably experience restless leg syndrome, but it will go away. it's normal.

It could be withdrawls. I would maybe go see your doctor, or if the pain is that bad, go to the emergency room asap.

Feel better. Glad to see you are off the pain killers. They are so bad for you.

Ya, those are withdrawl symtoms. You may even feel like you have a cold and the flu as well. Probly for a week or so.

Greetings,

This all depends on how long you were on hydrocodone (which is generic for Vicodin(copyright) and is an opiate).

If you were on this drug for long periods of time, it is likely you are suffering from withdrawals, as hydrocodone is an opiate (and therefore a controlled, addictive substance).

If you are having withdrawals, there are support groups and, of course, your doctor, to help you along. The best thing to do in this situation is take a couple of aspirin and attempt to sleep it off.

Hi Emily
Sounds like you may be having some light withdrawal symptoms.
If you were my client I'd have to ask a few more questions to help... How long have you been taking it , how much and when was the last time you took it?
If you've been taking Hydrocodone (Vicodin) for quite a while and just stopped, be prepared for some nasty withdrawal symptoms. These include but
aren't limited to, stomach cramping, very soar muscles (even feeling like your bones hurt) runny nose, watery eyes, vomiting, diarrhea, insomnia, irritability. (Flu-like symptoms)
Take hot baths for the soar muscles, try to drink lots of water (your body needs to be re hydrated)
If you cant seem to handle it, please see a doctor. They usually cant really help to do much but a sympathetic doctor MIGHT prescribe SOMETHING like a light muscle relaxer and maybe 1 or 2 pills to help you sleep.
Good luck with that.
