My dentist gave me hydrocodone. Why doesn't it make me tired?

My dentist gave me hydrocodone to help with severe pain after drilling on my teeth. He said and the bottle said it would make me drowsy, but it does the opposite... makes me talkative and very hyper. I don't understand.

drowsiness and weakness are some of the usual side effects of the drug but it does not necessarily happens in every patient who takes it. your doctor was just giving you extra precautions on what you might experience after taking hydrocodone. i don't think that the drug was responsible in making you more hyper.
