Why do people ask these questions after the deed is done?

I wouldn't think it would be very good. If I were you, I would either call a doctor or even a pharmacey and ask them how dangerous the combo can be.

Hydrocodone shouldn't be taken with ANY amount of alcohol. You might have a risk of having liver toxicity from "overdose" even if you take low dose hydrocodone with alcoholic substances. The mixture can also lead to respiratory, kidney and stomach wall problems. I'm both surprised and disappointed that the pharmacist told you otherwise.
