Something has to been done about Tramadol?
My sister was taking this prescribed for 3 years. She has tried to quit off and on the whole three years and it was killing her. She always started taking it again just so she could take care of and be with her daughters. She was a single mother and 3 years ago she had a severe back injury, they gave her that, Her first question was Is this addictive and they said no. Now my sister is dead. She killed herself two weeks ago,she had been off for 4 weeks and 5 days,I was by her side the whole time and no one could even touch her without causing severe pain, she couldn't take the idea of her kids seeing her like that, she thought it would never end, i was gone for 3 hours and never saw her alive again there was a letter to her daughters, the F.D.A and myself.
My sister was 25 years old and never had a problem with anything and never abused anything. She was lied to, we all were and now my sister is gone. What do I do about this. I've sent the letter nothing back yet

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. Technically, tramadol's risk of substance abuse is low (SOR B), but it is associated with a withdrawal syndrome usually typical of opioid withdrawal even in patients who have no history of abuse or addiction. Tramadol may be most appropriate for treatment of acute painful conditions, but it can be administered chronically under a watchful eye.
