Failed UA for codeine/morphine?

I really need some answers and help. If i did the drugs that is no problem, ill face up to it. I did not take any pills without a prescription. 1 week prior to the ua i took i had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out at one time. For the procedure i was sedated by IV. I am in the process of finding the exact anesthesia i was given for the oral surgery. After the surgery i was prescribed lortab (hydrocodone w/ acetaminophen). I was given a week supply of the prescription along with ibuprofen and penicillin pills. I do have all the paperwork to verify everything I have stated. My results of the ua came up as positive for codeine/morphine. I was surprised but did not worry when i showed my prescription and dental paperwork. However I am bieng told that I should not have failed for codeine/morphine regardless of my dental work or prescription. Please help, i need a website or anything in documentation that may help. I have served 13yrs. in Army and now may be discharged. Please, Please, Help

Did they do a confirmatory test on the UA? Usually, hydrocodone may be detected. But you also have to check what anesthetic you received. If this was morphine or a derivative of it, then it may be the one responsible for your positive test.

That's crazy.
If you have a script, everything SHOULD be cool.
Hydrocodone WILL test positive for opiates. (codeine/morphine)
You DO have a strong case.
Try a web site that will document EXACTLY what you were prescribed.

Sounds like you're going to have to do some homework.

Vicodin (same thing as Lortab)combines a narcotic analgesic (painkiller) and cough reliever with a non-narcotic analgesic for the relief of moderate to moderately severe pain.

I don't understand what their policy is but you NEED to find out. Maybe its because you CAN'T take ANY kind of Narcotic.
Find out what you can. Try to talk to whoever is in highest rank. Show all paperwork.
