tramadol withdrawls?
My doctor prescribed me Tramadol's for a chronic condition that I have. I regretfully became addicted to them, initially because of the relaxed euphoria they would put me in but after that wore off, I had to keep taking them because I would feel extremely restless (specifically my legs) well as of yesterday I officially ran out and feel like crap - is there anything I can take that will relieve the restlessness until its out of my system?

Tramadol is a medication that is habit forming, as you have discovered, and it should be stopped gradually, like lowering the dosage every week or every day. But since you chose to go cold turkey, and are now experiencing the withdrawal symptoms associated with it, then, you have two choices, to take it again, but in a smaller dose, or to just wait it out until the medication is out of your system. You may also want to ask your doctor about a weaning regimen, should you decide to do the first option.

Hope this helps.

I think Do not stop using tramadol suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, sweating, nausea, diarrhea, tremors, chills, hallucinations, trouble sleeping, or breathing problems. Talk to your doctor about how to avoid withdrawal symptoms when stopping the medication. Its just my opinion.

Thank you for all your help. I didn't know about these things before. I will call my Dr. and talk to him.
