Will a fentanyl patch still work if it gets wet on the sticky side??!!!??

I use a 25mcg fentanyl patch every three days. I have problems getting it to stick and thought I finally found something to help, but tonight in the shower, even that failed me! I just put the patch back on with a new bandaid. Has it lost some effectiveness because it got wet on BOTH sides?? I'm hoping it will still work. I can't afford to keep losing them. I'm going to call the manufaturer and try to get bioclusive overlays, but in the meantime I need to know.

They are suppose to but I had a lot of problems with them. My doctor gave me some type of tape that did help protect it from getting wet and staying on.
