Can aspirin/tylenol/ibuprofen be applied locally?
(I'm aware they're not the same thing.)

I have a horrendous (possibly infected) blister over the Achilles tendon of my left foot, and it is causing me a lot of pain, more than I would ever expect from a common blister. In fact, it makes even walking extremely difficult, and walking in shoes virtually impossible. I want to know if I can apply for instance a powder of one of the above directly to it for quicker relief, or is this a fatal mistake and I don't realize it?

Please answer soon, I have work in seven and a half hours!

i thin k you mean topically, on the skin and ibuprofin will only reduce swelling...i would say take some tylenol regular...and if you have ever heard of bag balm..its in a green tin can at walmart in the pet section, its a thick gooey stuff that will coat your sore..ive always used it on open sores and it feels good :-)
