general anesthesia and hydrocodone interaction?

I will be going in for a tubal ligation next tuesday (getting my tubes tied). I take lortab 10 twice a day for chronic pain. Will my medication interact with the general anesthesia in a dangerous way or am I reletivley safe? I am looking for an expert opinion please.

I use to take hydrocodone for fibromyalgia and I had an emergency appendectomy and I had no adverse reaction with my anesthesia. They will ask you what meds you are on but this is normal. Just be truthful. They need to know but it will not interfere with you getting the surgery or not. You will be told not to take anything after a certain time the night before the surgery so you won't have much in your system anyway. Just make sure you name off ALL meds you are on. Good luck.

Where do you live? Getting lortab 10 twice a day would be a God send for me if I could get just one a day. The government has really cracked down on all doctors about prescribing this particular medication.
As far as general anesthesia your be just fine as long as you let the anesthesiologist Dr. know about all medications.
