How does Oxycontin (oxycodone) compare to Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) ?

Actually, both are pure opioid agonists and derivatives of morphine. Its strength is dependent on how your body reacts to these substances. There is no exact reason for why to some, oxycodone is stronger, and to others, hydromorphone is. Its probably just the way humans are built. So, if you are wondering which analgesic to take, then just ask your doctor about it.
