Naproxen Sodium and a Liver Problem
My cramps get really bad each month. The doctor has had me on birth control (but I went emotionally crazy and it didn't help the pain). Then he put me on oxycoton, which is great, but I stopped that because it seemed "too" much for my pain. Now, he suggested Naproxen Sodium (800 mg every 4-6 hours----that's 4 Alieve). This seems to be the perfect amount and I only use it one day a month. So, I maybe take, max 10 Nap. pills each month. My worry is that I have had serious constipation and obnoxious acne ever since I've used this method. Obviously that has something to do with my liver, right?
What alternatives do I have to Nap. Sod that will work just as effectively without the side effects? Also, How can I cleanse my liver to stop my constipation and acne?
Thanks for your time and assistance~

Constipation & acne-like skin eruptions are common side effects of naproxen. I doubt if it has something to do with your liver. Almost all NSAIDs have side effects, just like any other durg, You can ask your doctor if you can try another type of NSAID/ analgesic for you to find out which would suit you best.
