Alternatives to Midol or Naproxen
Every month I have intense back pains, cramps, a heavy flow, I'm sore all over, etc. I used to take midol but they kind of.. stopped working for me. My doctor prescribed naproxen a month or two ago but they make my stomach hurt more.
The only medication that has worked for me was some leftover Tylenol 3's my sister had from her gallbladder operation. Everything else doesn't do anything. :/
And yes, I take hot baths and use a hot water bottle and/or heat blanket. I try to do everything that I can to make it better.

I usually take a combination of Midol (or Pamprin) and asprin. It works for me!
I like to take the asprin because it thins out the blood, and usually makes my period a tad less painful.

Good Luck!

Try eating a full meal when you take the naproxen, its the same as motrin or advil and they will be the same on your stomach, tylenol 3 is not a good thing to take regularly as it is a narcotic and can get addictive.

Honestly your kinda screwed if naproxen is hard on your stomache tats the best thing everything else would be hard on your body, you can try motrin pms, but Im betting it will do exactly what the naproxen did since thats the active ingredient, Just try eating with them which is recommended anyways

try taking calcium a couple days before you start and lots of water and exercise. Also, you might want to take ibuprofen a couple days before too!
