I've been taking naproxen for about a year now and i'm always burping. I want to know if it's a result of the medicine. Also, I've been taking it for about a year, is that considered long term use because i'm worried about the long term effects.
It is possible since burping can indicate heartburn or dyspepsia, both are side effects of naproxen. However, if you have been taking naproxen for a long time as you said, frequent burping/heartburn may be indicative of gastric ulcers--known to be a result of long-term NSAID use. Please consult your doctor and take minimal NSAIDs as much as possible.
