Does Naproxen Sodium contain aspirin
It's prescription Naproxen Sodium (generic for Anaprox ds) 550 mg. I take it for severe menstrual cramps, however I am going for surgery in 4 days and am not supposed to take anything containing aspirin?

Thanks in advance, hope you can help!!

IMPORTANT:

It doesn't, but your surgeon still needs to be aware that you are taking it.

And YOU should not be getting your information about anything this important from anonymous amateurs like me who don't know anything about you.

ASK YOUR DOCTOR.

No, naproxen doesn't have aspirin in it. I agree with the previous poster, you should still inform your doctor about ALL the medications you are taking prior to surgery.
