ibuprofen, paracetemol and anadin
i have been taking ibuprofen and paracetemol alternately every 2 hours, after having a tooth removed, i took an ibuprofen 2 hours ago and am in pain but have run out of partacetemol, can i take an anadin extra which has paracetemol, aspirin and caffeine
or Panadol which contain paracetemol and potassium sorbate

You can take Anadin Extra with ibuprofen if you are stuck for the time being. However it is a good idea to replace it with paracetamol alone as soon as practical. This is not because there is any interaction, but because in my view codeine containing pain killers are best avoided anyway. There risk/benefit ration is much poorer that paracetamol, and they are only marginally more potent.
