Anybody had to go buy Naproxen 500 mg tablets?
I just got back from the ER and the doc wrote me out a prescription for 20 Naproxen 500 mg tablets for pain.I have no insurance and probaly will just go to the wal-mart pharmacy to fill it. Does anybody have an idea of how much they cost?

Aleve and Naproxen are the same thing. If you can find a way to make a comparable dose using the OTC (Aleve) that's what I would do. That's what my pharmacist told me to do when I had a prescription for the same thing--I have no insurance either. If you can't do that, I don't think it would cost a whole lot, though, because Naproxen is the generic for Naprosyn, so it should be relatively cheap. Barring that, you aren't required to get the entire prescription at once, you could fill only half of it, or just a certain number of pills to last until payday or whenever you'll have a little more money. I hope that helps. Good luck.
