Mentstral cramps Naproxen
alright, so im 16 right, and i get WICKED menstral cramps, like, im in tears and i cant walk and i get to the point of getting sick, anyway, My mom took me to the doctor and she put me on 500 mg Naproxen tablets, which i started taking today. and now im all jittery and nervous, im home alone and feeling like crying, ive been crying on and off all day, im tired and i feel all weak and stuff. Is this normal to happen? Could the naproxen be messing with my hormones or could somethings else be going on?

You may be having an allergic reaction to the pain medication. I'd stop taking it for the evening and call your doctor tomorrow.

In the meantime, take a warm bath and drink some hot tea - no sugar, which can make it worse.

Do something you find soothing. Listen to music or watch a favorite TV show or read a book.

for naproxen to work it has to be in your system before it really starts working the way it should its not like simple motrin that starts working 15 minutes after you take it...ask about birth control some pills only give you 3 periods a year and if yours are that bad you might wont to check into it
