Are there any safe alternatives to NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen, etc...)
I have been taking ibuprofen for like 10 months about 8 pills per day... I had disc surgery and It seems to be the only thing that actually helps me. I am starting to worry that it could be doing damage to my liver or my kidneys, and I was wondering if there are any safe alternatives to these types of drugs that would still eliminate the inflamation? I can make it through the day without them but it does cause some significant discomfort...(do the benefits out weigh the gains??? I don't really know?

I think you are correct that long-term use of NSAIDs are bad for your liver and kidneys. I take Sam-E a supplement that naturally occurs in the body and it helps depression and osteoarthritis.
