You will be fine. Pretty much any meds for pain say that. I was in a very bad car accident and have spinal problems and I was put on a strong prescription pain med, that says it may cause shortness of breath, and even that didn't! So if a strong prescription pain med didn't, then a over the counter ibuprofen won't! So its okay, take them as needed!

I take it all the time for the arthritis in my back and to fight sinus headaches. I never once had shortness of breath, where did you hear that was a side effect?

All drugs have side effects however, they are prescribed since the benefits outweigh the adverse effects. Some side effects do not occur in some individuals and most of them can be prevented and are well-tolerated.

well perhaps you should tell that to my lungs. i have a profound reaction to ibuprofen. my sinuses swell shut and i get severe shortness of breath.

the first time it happened, i thought i was going to die and had to go to the emergency room. not one doctor ever asked me about ibuprofen. i had to make the correlation myself and only after several very scary reactions.

drugs affect people differently, so to tell someone it's okay just because it's okay for you is not always the right answer.
