Is Ibuprofen causing this headache?
Yesterday I was cramping myself inside out, so I went to the gas station next to where I work and bought a little two pack of advil. Didn't help (you'd think I'd learn by now :P ) so a few hours later I bought and took another two pack. Total of about 400mgs of ibuprofen.

Now this morning I woke up with a MASSIVE headache. It can't be coincidence, because ever since my last surgery (couple months ago for Endometriosis treatment) when they put me on 800mgs of ibuprofen, I've gotten headaches the next day after taking pretty much any pain medication.

Is the ibuprofen really causing my headaches? and how can I get rid of the headaches if so, since I assume taking more will just make the situation worse?

Should I just resign myself to the painful cramping, or is there another painkiller that will work without the headache?
I don't take the 800 mg anymore :P I only took them for a week or so after surgery.

Wow.... Never heard of painkillers causing pain. Maybe you should talk to your doctor for a recommendation for a milder pain killer.

Hmm, it may be the dosage of the ibuprofen that has been making you have the headache, and not exactly the ibuprofen. Have you tried taking the right dosage? Did it have the same effect?

In any case, you may want to try acetaminophen for the pain. Or ask your doctor about muscle relaxants. This may help relieve the pain of cramps.

Hope this helps.
