What effect does alcohol have on your body while taking Naproxen (500mg)
I had knee surgery two months ago and was just issued anti inflammatory pills. There is a warning on the side saying "LIMIT ALCOHOL USE WHILE TAKING THIS DRUG. DAILY USE OF ALCOHOL MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF STOMACH BLEEDING". is it alright to just go to parties on friday/saturday night? is it alright to skip pills accationally, I don't really need them.
Both the medication and alcohol are irritating to the lining of the stomach and intestines. It takes about a day for so for the effect of either to be gone.
I would be VERY careful about using alcohol in any significant or young person's way.
And don't take the medication if you don't need it. I bet the label says something like - take one every 4-6 hours as needed.
