Ambien Failing Drastically?
I took 1 Ambien 10mg at 11:00 PM. At 1 AM I laid in bed hoping to just get to sleep. I have read, relaxed, lit incense, everything to try to get to sleep. at 3:30 this morning I crushed on up and insufflated it, hoping the effects would be a little more pronounced. I just packed a bowl at 3:50 to vainly grasp at the hope of sleep...it has yet to come. Any ideas?

Maybe Ambien just doesn't work for you. Prescription medication can be funny that way - works great for some people and lousy, or worse, for others. Ambien works for me for a night or two, and then it just stops working. Then, I have a night or two of rebound amnesia.

My doctor prescribed it because it has much less of a "hangover effect" in the morning. Apparently, that's one of Ambien's biggest pluses. If it simply doesn't work for you, you may need to get your doctor to prescribe a sleep medication without concern for the hangover effect.

Good luck! I know how much serious insomnia really sucks.

It may either be as leveretth said that it is just not for you. Or it may be that the dosage is not right for you.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answer guys. I guess, I need to go back to my doctor and get a better medication or have the dosage fixed.
