20mg of diazepam is a lot for most people. i don't know what 1 xanax bar is.... if it is 1mg, that is usually not a high dosage for many, but will cause a high drowsiness. if it's not prescribed, you should not be taking either of them. and, for the most part, if someone has taken 20mg of diazepam, they should probably be monitored by a healthcare professional, i.e. they should be taken to a hospital.

They are related meds.
A rule of thumb would be .25mg Xanax to 5mg Valium. That is one quarter of a milligram of Xanax. Your 'bar' we don't get them like that here in the US) is probably 2mg that you can break in three.
2mg would knock most people right out.
