Anti Depressant for anxiety/ buspirone for anxiety
Was really over weight at 17 and discovered I have high blood pressure. Also to add to the problems I have pretty bad anxiety about my heart. The blood pressure is under control and I am going through the steps to find out why I have hypertension at a young age. I have panic attacks when my heart starts beating fast like if I went for a jog. My general physician gave me lorazepam. My first time taking it it freaked me out and then calmed me down. Since then I have taken it only a few times at about .125mg afraid of becoming addicted. So I read up on anti depressants and went and got lexapro from my doctor. But before taking it I read some horror stories about coming off them and decided not to take it. At least until I can talk to a psycologist about them first. Then I read about buspirone a drug with no withdrawels. So my question is how affective is this drug over an anti depressant? What are your experiances with it? Really just need some help with my heart when I exercise so that when it beats faster I don't freak out about it.
I am now 18 and two months. I know about the risks for suicide with teenagers and anti depressants. Thanks for any info
Also have had bad attacks at the doctors office and getting my blood pressure taken. So hopefully this will help with the doctor as well. Will see a psycologist first thing next month to discuss this further and get treatment. I have been going to a counselor but be is not able to discuss medications for anxiety so another reason to go see a psycologist.

Rarely, buspirone side-effects have a dangerous nature or intensity. It is an effective antidepressant for selected cases, your doctor should be able to tell you if this drug is appropriate for your case.

As for getting hypertension at an early age, there are many factors like if you're overweight, or if you have a high cholesterol diet-- those things warrants you to have hypertension even at 17. Have you asked your doctor what could be the cause?

Hi,

Depression is on the rise in the many countries. There as been much discussion in relation to the many ad campaigns that are being shown for the various anti depressants. There are basically two different views when it comes to the use of anti depressants. There happens to be a good number of psychologists who don’t believe in the mass production and availability of anti depressants. Others support the use of anti depressants and believe they can have an important role to play in helping people who are battling depression and anxiety deal with their problems.

Buspiron is CRAP
No good for Anxiety (when compared to Alpraolam, Clonazepam, Lorazepam, or Diazepam. NON-Physically Addictive is it's main advantage over alcohol, benzos, and anything else. It's a joke. If you want an anti-depressant get an SSRI and if you want anti-anxiety get a benzo and don't use it EVERY DAY. Or do, and get addicted. Whatever lol it's up to you.

This is word from my MD not me.

Anti Depressant for anxiety/ buspirone for anxiety
It is a mild antidepressant...consult the doctor who prescribed you the drug to know whether considering the other factors of your heart whether it will be suitable to use it further.
