How do i get of xanax
I have been on xanax for over 15 years 5 times aday by my doctor,i want to get off these meds,my doctor keeps me on them even thought i ask him to help me get off them 1 mg 5 times a day,isn't that a long time to be on this kind of drug?

Oh sweet lord som of us want it som of us wana get off it my god. I wud jus kill to get my hands on som benzi babys. But yes thas a rely long time n u hav the rite to get off em. Don giv in keep tellin him to help u n if he won't do it then change doctors. Peace

THere are side effects getting off long term use on xanax. be sure to be supervised by a doctor-a NEW doctor.

Wean yourself off one doseage for a week at a time, while widening the time period between dosages to compensate.

Uh, your doctor is nuts to prescribe you that much xanax and for that long.

Seriously, go find a real doctor, and get him to help wean you off of xanax. At the very least wean you down to a more sane level, 1mg 5 times a day is absolutely insane and im surprised your pharmacist has not reported your doctor for writing such a script as of yet.

I used klonopin to taper off of xanax, then I used valium to taper off klon. then decided I liked life a lot better on klonopin, so thats the bed ill lay in.
