I've heard you can take Klonopin daily and it doesn't have the dependency issues associated with Xanax. Is this true? Does it work as well as Xanax? If so, why don't the docs prescribe it all the time?
Yes they are both benzos and have about the same effectiveness. Xanax works a little faster, however, it has the highest addiction risk of all the benzos.
Xanax is a faster acting medication than Klonopin. Klonopin also stays in your system longer than Xanax does. They are both in the same category of benzodiazepines which basically means they both have the same addictive tendency(which is strong). Hope that helped some!
