Say you had liver problems and you needed to take your medication such as klonopin ...
could you put it under your tongue and let it dissolve into your blood stream instead of swallowing it and letting it process through your liver? would that work or help to not be so hard on your liver and would you still get the calming effects of the klonopin? I dont know I'm just curious. I'm going through a mixed episode so I'm thinking thinking thinking.
well I dont know if I have liver problem it's just I still feel my liver excreate fluid months after my gallbladder removel and my husband can even hear it at times. It pulsates or something and is a little painfull.

The way stuff gets to your liver is through your blood, not directly through your digestive system, so it doesn't matter from this point of view just how you take it.

Your physician should be fully aware of your liver problems before prescribing anything for you. If you didn't tell him/her, it is VERY IMPORTANT for you to do so RIGHT NOW.

First, you have to make sure what's that "pulsating" thing is, especially if it causes discomfort. As for the liver problem, it's hard to say since you're not really sure if you indeed have a liver problem or not. But to be safe, periodic liver function tests are advisable during long-term therapy with Klonopin.
