What should I avoid while taking Ativan®?
Use caution while driving. In some patients, lorazepam may cause dizziness, drowsiness, and slowed reaction time. Make sure you know how you react to this medication before you drive, operate machinery, or do other activities that may be dangerous if you are not alert.
Avoid drinking alcohol or using illegal drugs as this may increase sedation, toxicity and the risk of overdose.
Avoid skipping or missing doses of this medication.
*Note though* I take Xanax 2mg a day and drink although it says pretty much the samething as Lorazepam - I would call a pharamist where you filled your prescription and see what they say if your are worried.
Personal expereience with me on Xanax and alchol... cannot drink as much
