I think you have some hypochondria going on in your noggin there,
and your doctor is right, if it only happens a couple of nights out of the week, your not actually in any sort of pain and the only issue is that your obsessing about the fact that you need a cure for something that isn't an actual issue. Do not take this the wrong way though sally, hypochondriacs have had horrible incidents in which they were really really sick with something but they exaggerated the symptoms and didn't get treatment for something that is treatable, and they die.
Your case however, does not sound life-threatening, I advise that you work real hard on getting a good strong social life together, and if you had one in the past, that may be why your body is substituting happiness with "cure"'s. Either get some more friends, or get a therapist, your choice sally.
And some doctors have little moral and will actually prescribe you things you may not need, they get more money that way, and most anxiety drugs aren't covered by most health insurance plans. Be careful, this may end up being an expensive endeavor.
