Can I bring Klonopin, Ritalin to the US when traveling (Not a US citizen)
Hi!
I Live in Europe (Norway), and I am going to the USA for my vacation.
But I am having trouble finding out which of my meds that I can actually bring with me. Don't want to do something illegal, and be deported when i arrive. Since I am not a US citizen I will be entering the US on a tourist visa.
So does anyone know if I can bring -Klonopin (clonazepam), -Ritalin (ADD drugs) and/or -Zopiclone with me? ( I use this for sleep aid and anxiety) And if so will documentations in English from my Pharmacy be enough? These medications are prescribed to me here in Norway. My name and my doctors name are on the package (original package).
It will only be for personal use, so I will only bring dosage for 1 week use.
I tried to find specific info on the www.cbp.gov website, but could not find info on these specific drugs.
It just states that some drugs are illegal to bring , and that you need documentation for personal meds, and that you have to show any drugs you are bringing with you.
I know this might be a hard question, but I am hoping that someone out there might have some experience or knowledge on this matter.
Thank you so much in advance!
Take care,
Lily in Norway
My travel agent referred me to the embassy, but the US embassy is now closed for Easter. (We start Easter break earlier here in Norway) So Who do I ask?
