Does long term zopiclone use cause memory "holes"?

Hi. I have been taking 7.5 mg zopiclone nightly, or most nights, for a couple of years. I notice that I am missing stuff during the day that I never used to miss, little memory gaps here and there, forgetting to do something that has been routine for years and like that. I am in my early 40's and otherwise fairly fit, so I am trying to narrow down possible reasons for the gappy-ness.

Hopefully it's not just getting old that does it.

So far, there is no medical evidence to show that zopiclone causes memory gaps. It may be the age (unfortunately) or some other condition that you may not be aware of. Do you have other symptoms that you have been experiencing together with the memory gaps? If so, I suggest you go to your doctor about it so he can give you a thorough examination and find out what's wrong.
