Swollen finger, Neomycin allergy
I cut my finger with my mechanical pencil last week. I put on a bandaid and some triple antibiotic cream. It started swelling more and more over the week and I kept putting on a bandaid and antibiotic cream. It also oozed clear stuff and looks kind of blistered and itched as much as any bug bite. I went to the doctor yesterday and after 3 doctors looked at my finger, 2 of them decided I had an allergic reaction to the neomycin. They gave me some steroid cream for my finger to put on 2x a day, but it's starting to itch almost as bad as it was before i put on the new cream.

Best if you can have yourself tested for cortecosteroid allergy. Topical steroids are supposed to ease the itch but if it worsened the condition then it's time to go back to your doctor.
