acne treatment question! clarifoam and erythromycin

I went to the derm finally and he gave me clarifoam ef and erythromycin solution 2%. Its only my second day so I know it is way too early for results but I was wondering about your experience with it? When did you finally started clearing up? Also I know I am suppose to massage the clarifoam all over but how about the solution? Just on the acne or all over as well? Thanks =D

On how to use erythromycin solution: Clean and dry the affected area before applying this medication. Apply a small amount to the affected area using fingertips, cotton balls or an applicator.
