alternatives to taking amoxicillin by mouth
for some reason i'm having a hard time swallowing this pill, so i decided to crush it up in apple sauce and eat it but the taste was unbearable. is there any cream i can rub on my wounded area that is like amoxicillin? or any other alternatives to it? maybe a better food to put it in?

Chew ice chips to numb your mouth before you swallow the capsule, or you can have the pharmacy make up your dose as a liquid suspension (costs more)

Good luck

Liquid amoxicillin is available and the taste is bearable and a much better alternative than crushing the pill. Unfortunately many antibiotics come as large pills which can be difficult to swallow.

Learn to swallow capsules, or ask your doctor to prescribe the pediatric liquid (most brands have a bubble-gum flavor). I can't quite imagine what skin condition, excepting acne rosacea, would be treated with amoxicillin, though.

I wouldn't recommend the pediatric liquid since the dose for children is much lower. There's an amoxicillin powder for oral suspension formulated for adult patients and you can also try the chewable tablet form.
