Does zithromax helps against swine flu

Im taking zithromax for the allergies and sore throat does that help against the swine flu?

First, why are you taking zithromax for your allergies? Zithromax is an antibacterial, not an antihistamine--it may work for the sore throat but not for your allergies. It is not an antiviral drug too so it won't be useful for swine flu which is caused by a virus. It should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.

Its good not to take the medicine from any shop for swine flu.Its better to get the advice of good doctor and then go for it.
