I have been prescribed Viagra by my doctor because I have not been able to maintain an erection when I am with my partner. I have yet to try them.

Is it likely the condition will improve once I have taken a few, or will I have to carry on taking them?

You only take Viagra when you are about to have sexual activity---particularly 1 hour before sexual activity. However, it may be taken anywhere from 4 hours to 0.5 hour before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day.
