What are the side affects of penicillin and other antibiotics?

Has anyone had any problems when taking antibiotics? also, what are some of the things you shouldn't drink,(besides alcohol) with antibiotics? Thank you for your comments.

alcohol reduces the effectiveness of antibiotics.

antibiotics reduce the effectiveness of birth control.

some people are allergic to some types of antibiotics.

make sure you take them with food, some people get upset stomachs from them. food will reduce this.

are you talking long term/ immediate side effects?
your overall immune system will be weakened when taking antibiotics. reason being is they kill bacteria (and parasites)...and not all bacteria/parasites are bad. Completely eliminating them can cause diarrhea, yeast infection, UTI, rash, excessive bleeding, kidney infection.
