Does Tetracycline topical cream cause hair loss on applied areas
When I was about 15 I started using tetracycline on my cheeks to combat rosacea on my cheeks. I applied topical cream every night for several months, almost a year, and saw minimal results before my doctor advised me to stop.

I am now 22 and still have rosacea on my cheeks. I can grow a full mountain man beard on my neck and my chin and sideburns, and full mestache. But the area on my cheeks grows no hair, even fine milia. It starts under the eyes and all the way down to jaw line, where most people grow facial hair. My dad has a full beard and I'm otherwise a hairy dude (chest hair, some back hair... you get the picture) Could this be caused by the topical cream I used when I was younger?

I researched this side effect, and saw one site that said it was an "unconfirmed" side effect but it is hard to find answers. Has anyone else expereinced this? Anyone else heard about this? Anyone know if it is true?

tetracycline is an antibiotic . its role is to killing the microorgnanisms and it has nothing to do with hair loss.
