Is Penicillin and Fluoroscein related in any way?

I am allergic to Penicillin and received the Fluoroscein dye at the eye doctor and broke out in hives and rashes. I have only known to be allergic to Penicillin.

There is no relationship between penicillin, an antiobiotic, and fluorescein, which is a dye, except for the fact that both can cause allergic reactions on some patients, which includes you.
