Questions about ciproflaxin
Ok....so here's the thing....i recently went 2 the doctor and told her that i think i MIGHT have a uti....she prescribed me a treatment called flucanazole to take AFTER i take ciproflaxin 2 times a day for 5 days bcuz there's a slight chance that the treatment might GIVE me an infection if i don't have one.....so this medicine is supposed 2 prevent it.....problem is I HAVE A HORRIBLE TIME TRYING 2 SWALLOW PILLS....and have only been able 2 take it 2 out of the 5 days.....2day's the last day and i'm supposed 2 start taking my other treatment 2morrow.....can i still chance taking the treatment or should i just go back 2 the doc and ask 4 another treatment????

Ciproflaxin is for UTI and Fluconazole is an anti-fungal (for candidiasis). Re: swallowing pills, I got these tips from people with similar problems:
Put the pill as far back on your tongue as you can without starting to gag and then jerking your head back as you swallow. This makes gravity take over. Also, again with the pill really far back, take a really large gulp of juice or whatever and then keeping your tongue flat in your mouth (you know how it goes when you’re about to sneeze? like that) swallow the whole gulp of liquid. The weight of the stuff you’re swallowing will push the pills down.

Also take the hard-to-swallow pill with applesauce or pudding. Discuss your difficulty in swallowing the pill with your doctor so she would know that you weren't able to take the complete dose.
