Ethosuximide treatment for Childhood Absence Seizures
I have a Son who has CAS and he is currently taking Ethosuximide. My question is does this medication stop seizures completely and if so how long does it take the medicine to work or does it just decrease the amount a person has a day?
Usuall, control of seizure is achieve after taking the recommended daily dose for 4 to 7 days. However, it should be considered that patients' response vary. Eventually, dose must be individualized according to the patient's response.
